HERPETIC INFECTIONS (HERPESVIRUS INFECTIONS)

Herpetic (Herpesvirus) Infections are divided into herpes simplex, herpes zoster and varicella (chickenpox). Herpes simplex causes herpes zoster, genital herpes and can occur on any part of the body. Symptoms of herpes simplex include painful blisters or ulcers at the site of infection.Many times, these blisters are accompanied by other symptoms, such as fever and fatigue that appear from the first 24-48 hours up to 7 days.
Herpes zoster is caused by the VZV virus and the symptoms are local pain / itching.
Chickenpox is also caused by the VZV virus and is transmitted by airborne droplets. All infections should be treated in time with the appropriate treatment in order to prevent their transmission.
