MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM

Molluscum Contagiosum is a viral skin disease with high transmissibility.
It is common in children aged 10-12 years and 20-29 years in adults.
It causes lesions on the skin that are round, hemispherical, pink-colored bumps with a dimple or pit in the center. They may appear in groups or individually.
In children, the lesions are located mainly on the face, torso and limbs, while in adults on the genitals and abdomen (below the belly).
In Athens South Dermatology Clinic, the treatment of Molluscum Contagiosum is performed by the Dermatologist/Venereologist Dr. Nektarios Logaras using CO2 Laser or cryotherapy, depending on the case.
In any case, the use of local anaesthesia, and or topical anaesthetic cream is necessary so that the treatment to be painless and without scars.
